● °C/°F:
Switching temperature display from °C to °F, and vice versa.
Pressing the °C/°F key will switch the temperature display, and will be confirmed briefly
(°C or °F).
● Window:
Standard soldering stations
Limitation of the temperature range to max. ±99 °C based on a locked temperature
resulting from the "LOCK" function. The locked temperature represents the median point
of the adjustable temperature range.
After selecting the window function (Shift-Window) the current set value for the tempera-
ture window is displayed. It is now possible to enter a new value and to confirm this value
by pressing the window key again. The setting is confirmed in the display with „ON", or
with „OFF" if „0" was set (window function is deactivated). If no confirmation is made, the
display switches back to the ready mode (blinking cursor) after a short period of time, and
the old value is retained.
Power supply units with transistor outlet
Setting a set value window from ±1°C to 99°C / 178°F. If the actual temperature is within
the set value window, the potential-free transistor outlet to the power supply unit is
conductive.

ture window is displayed. It is now possible to enter a new value and to confirm this value
by pressing the window key again. The setting is confirmed in the display with „ON", or
with „OFF" if „0" was set (window function is deactivated). If no confirmation is made, the

Factory setting (FSE)
After selecting the Cal function (Shift-Cal) a reset is carried out, in which the soldering
station is reset to the basic setting made in the factory (FSE Factory Setting - resetting
of all set values to 0, temperature set value 350 °C/660 °F). The display will briefly show
„FSE" (reset to factory setting has been completed).

After selecting the Cal function (Shift-Cal) the numbers „-1-" to „-2-" will run in the
display (soldering station is re-calibrated).
The display will then briefly show FSE (reset to factory setting has been completed).
● Temp (WCB 2 only):
Temperature gauge with thermoelement Type K.
Temperature range up to 600°C. Accuracy ± 0,5 % of max. value.

The temperature gauge is activated after pressing the Shift-Temp key. Pressing the
Shift-Temp key again will turn off the temperature gauge and switch the calibration box to
ready mode.
For measuring the temperature the soldering tool must be inserted directly into the power
supply unit. Temperature deviations may occur when operating via the calibration box (4).
● PC interface (WCB 2 only):
Serial interface RS 232 standard (2) to PC link.

3. Operating instructions
3.1 Errors
ERR:
General error (communication error).
BAT:
Indicates that battery must be replaced.
HI:
Entry is too high.
LO:
Entry is too low.
F01:
Error in calibration (lower value)

Error in calibration (upper value)
EPP:
Error EEprom
