3.8.2. Battery

Supplied with two keys. Keep the keys safe, since they cannot be reordered.
Remove the battery from the workbench, store it in an enclosed dry room.
Ambient temperature between -20 °C and +45 °C.
Recommended state of charge during storage: 50 % of the capacity.
Every six months, recharge the battery to 50 % state of charge.

Reduction of the charge capacity of the battery due to cumulative ageing in use.

4. Commissioning

4.1. CHARGING THE BATTERY OUTSIDE THE WORKBENCH

Risk of fatal accident due to overheating of the battery whilst being charged within the work-
bench.
» Do not charge the battery within the workbench. Remove it and charge it outside the work-
bench.
» Use only the charger supplied.
1. Lock both castors by applying the parking brakes.
2. Open the side compartment.
3. Turn the key on the battery to the OFF position.
4. Push the key on the battery in and turn it to UNLOCK.
» Unlocking.
5. Remove the battery.
6. Connect the charger to the battery charging socket.
7. Insert the mains plug into a mains socket.

4.2. INSERTING THE BATTERY INTO THE WORKBENCH

1. Lock both castors by applying the parking brakes.
2. Open the side compartment.
3. Position the battery on the rail in the slide and push it in until it engages.
» Alignment display forwards, lock on the left hand side.
4. Turn the key on the battery to the OFF position.
» Battery locked.
