10 Operation

10.1 Activating the inputs

Several options are available for activating the mini control system's inputs.

10.1.1 Simulation via pushbutton/latched switches

Static or pulsed 24 V DC signals can be applied to inputs I3 through I6 via the pushbutton/latched switches.
The statuses of these inputs are indicated by the LEDs integrated into the corresponding connector panel.
For measurement or control purposes, this voltage can also be disconnected at the 4 mm safety sockets for
these inputs.

10.1.2 Connection via 4 mm safety sockets

External 24 V DC input signals can be connected to the corresponding inputs of the integrated mini control
system via the 4 mm sockets.
Caution!
The simulation switches at I3 through I6 must not be switched because this can result
in faulty signals.

10.1.3 Connection via system interface

Digital input signals, for example from sensors on Festo Didactic MPS
device via terminals A and B.
Caution!
The simulation switches at I3 through I6 must not be switched because this can result
in faulty signals.
