1 Operating Elements and Connections

1.1 Fig. 1: Hand-held microphone
1 Removable microphone cartridge; to insert batter-
ies, unscrew the cartridge (see figs. 2 and 3)
2 Removable plastic cap for the control part; remove
the cap for channel adjustment (see fig. 4)

4 Tip jack on the microphone cartridge;
for assembling the microphone after inserting the
batteries, place the microphone cartridge onto the
handle in such a way that the jack holds the 4-pole
connector strip of the handle, then screw the car-
tridge onto the handle.

press together the two latches (see arrows in
fig. 2); the lock will be released and the battery
holder can be removed

2 Safety Notes

The unit corresponds to the directive for electromag-
netic compatibility 89/336/EEC.
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
chemicals or water.
No guarantee claims for the unit or liability for any
resulting personal damage or material damage will
be accepted if the unit is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not correctly operated
or not repaired in an expert way.

If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively,
take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal which
is not harmful to the environment.

3 Applications

In combination with the multifrequency receiver
TXS-890 by "img Stage Line", this dynamic hand-held
microphone with integrated multifrequency transmitter
makes up a wireless audio transmission system. As
the receiver is equipped with two receiving units, the
wireless transmission system can be operated with
two transmitters of the TXS-890 series. Within the
UHF frequency range of 790 – 814 MHz, the transmis-
sion channel of the transmitter can be freely selected
among 16 channels.
The microphone is supplied with a microphone
case, a microphone holder, and several plastic push-
on ID caps of different colours.
3.1 Approval
According to the R + TTE directive (Radio and Tele-
communication Technical Equipment), the approval for
the transmitter TXS-890HT is valid in the countries of
the European Union. The EC declaration of conformity
can be found on page 15. For operation in countries
outside the EU, please contact your retailer or the
MONACOR subsidiary in the particular country.
Note: In Germany, it is necessary to apply for a fre-
quency assignment of the transmission system which
will be subject to charges. In other countries, it may be
necessary to apply for a corresponding approval. Prior
to operation of the system outside Germany, please
contact the MONACOR subsidiary or the respective
authorities of the country.

4 Power Supply

Insert only batteries of the same type and always
replace all batteries.
If the unit is not used for a longer period (e. g. more
than a week), remove the batteries. Thus, the unit
will not be damaged in case of battery leakage.
Never throw exhausted batteries or defective
rechargeable batteries into the household rubbish.
Always take them to a special waste disposal (e. g.
collective container at your retailer).
1) Unscrew the microphone cartridge (1)
2) Press together the two latches (5) for the battery
holder (6) [see arrows in fig. 2] to unlock the battery
holder.
3) Remove the battery holder (see fig. 3) and insert two
1.5 V batteries of size AA (R6) with the positive and
negative connections as indicated on the holder.
4) Replace the battery holder so that it locks into
place.
5) Place the microphone cartridge onto the handle in
such a way that the 4-pole tip jack (4) holds the
4-pole connector strip of the handle, then screw the
cartridge onto the handle.
