After approx. 5 minutes without button actua-
tion or angle change, the measuring tool switch-
es off automatically to preserve battery life.
Aligning with the Spirit Levels
The measuring tool can be aligned horizontally
with spirit level 10 and vertically with spirit
level 11.
The measuring tool can also be used as a car-
penter's spirit level for checking vertical and
horizontal lines. For this, place or hold the
measuring tool against the surface subject to
checking.
Working Advice
Measuring Angles (see figure D)
Place the fold-out leg 1 and the base leg 5 flat
on the surfaces adjacent to the angle. The dis-
played measuring value a corresponds with
the interior angle w between the base leg and
the fold-out leg.
This measuring value is indicated on both dis-
plays 9 until the angle between the fold-out
leg 1 and the base leg 5 is changed.
Retaining the Measured Value ("HOLD")
The current reading can be retained in the dis-
play by pressing the "HOLD" button 7.
When the Hold mode is activated, "HOLD" c is
indicated in the display and the Hold mode is
confirmed by the blinking of both the hold in-
dicator and the reading c. The reading re-
mains unchanged (even when the legs are
moved in relation to each other) until the
"HOLD" button 7 is pressed again.
Projecting/Transferring Angles
(see figure D)
Position the measuring tool with the fold-out
leg or with the base leg against the workpiece.
Adjust the required angle with the other leg
and project the angle onto the workpiece.
When directly projecting a measured angle
onto a workpiece, pay attention that the fold-
out leg and the base leg are not moved in rela-
tion to each other and that the "HOLD" mode
is not switched on.
Measuring with Leg Extension
(see figure G –J)
The leg extension 4 (accessory) enables the
measuring of angles when the contact surface
is shorter than the fold-out leg 1.
Mount the leg extension 4 (see "Mounting the
Leg Extension", page 15). Place the base leg 5
and the leg extension flat on the surfaces adja-
cent to the angle.
The reading of the angle w between base leg
and fold-out leg is indicated in the display.
