General Information:
Before starting work, please read the installation instructions.
The holes drilled must be deburred and then coated with anti-corrosion paint.
Move continuous positive wire without risk of abrasion/wear areas.
Do not move directly near to the exhaust system and other parts which become hot.
The electrical set may only be installed by specially-trained personnel with the battery disconnected.
Please make sure before drilling that there is sufficient clearance behind the trim.
Important: Any electronically stored data (car radio, onboard computer etc.) may be lost.
During towing mode the rear fog lamp of the towed vehicle is switched off by the control unit.
Warning! The towed vehicle must be equipped with a rear fog lamp, otherwise there will be an error
message in the check control system ( Lancia Lybra ). This activates a relay in the towed vehicle
control module in the second cycle. The error message comes only when the rear fog lamp is switched
on.
The failure of a turn signal lamp, including on the towed vehicle, is shown by an increase in the
flashing frequency. No additional flashing check is required.
A socket adapter may be used only in towing mode. This must be removed after towing mode!
The German version of these installation instructions shall be applicable in event of any legal
questions.
