Oilstop V anti-siphon valve

Installation

6.
Installation
NOTICE
The suction pipe and the filter can become clogged at low
temperatures
At low temperatures (frost), paraffins may precipitate from the heating oil.
These can clog the suction pipe or the filter.
!
Make sure that the temperature of the heating oil does not fall below 0 °C
(according to DIN 4755).
NOTICE
Malfunction due to foreign bodies
Foreign bodies can impair the function of the Oilstop V.
!
Make sure that no foreign bodies (e.g. shavings) get into the valve.
!
Protect the valve from coarse dirt (e.g. with a screen or a strainer).
The installation position is arbitrary (horizontal, inclined or vertical, in
rising or falling sections).
The protection height of the valve must cover the vertical height
difference between the installation location of the valve (centre) to the
lowest point of the suction pipe (see position
35).
Too high a protection leads to a higher suction load on the burner
pump. The Oilstop V enables optimal adaptation to the system
conditions.
Non-return valves (without pressure relief) can hinder the operation of
the diaphragm anti-siphon valve. In case of possible pressure build-up
due to temperature increase, especially in case of a separate oil storage
room, they should be removed or put out of function. Alternatively, a
pressure compensation device can be installed in the pipe to absorb
the volume (e.g. item no.: 2107003).
