3. Reprogramming on-board electronics
The control unit of the vehicle's multifunction unit (ISU) must be reprogrammed for the
extra "towed vehicle assembly" with a VAG service tester (VAG 1551, 1552 or VAS 5052).
Only then can the vehicle's additional, preinstalled indicator light (C2) be released.
4. Functional test
Reconnect the earthing wire to the battery.
Check all functions with a suitable testing instrument (with load resistance) or with a
trailer!!!
Secure all wire lines with cable binders.
Replace all removed coverings in reverse sequence.
