Turn the ignition switch to ON.
• If the vehicle's air conditioner or heater is turned on, turn it off.
• Press SRC/OFF to turn on the source if this unit is turned off.

Press and hold SRC/OFF until the unit turns off.

Press the M.C. dial to display the main menu.

Turn the M.C. dial to select [INITIAL], then press to confirm.

Turn the M.C. dial to select [AUTO TA & EQ], then press to confirm.

Plug the microphone into the AUX input jack on the unit (page 8).

Turn the M.C. dial to select [FL] (front seat left) or [FR] (front seat right) in
[POSITION] according to the seat to which the microphone is attached, then press
to confirm.

When [CONNECT MIC?] appears in the display, press the M.C. dial.

Turn the M.C. dial to select [YES], then press to confirm.

When the 10-second countdown starts, get out of the vehicle and close the door
within the time limit.
The measurement tone (noise) is output from the speakers, and auto TA and EQ
begins.

When auto TA and EQ is completed, [COMPLETED] appears in the display.
When correct measurement of a vehicle's interior acoustic characteristics is not
possible, an error message is displayed (page 30).

Store the supplied microphone carefully in the glove compartment or another
safe place.
If the microphone is subjected to direct sunlight for an extended period, high
temperatures may cause distortion, color change, or malfunction.

Description
Store the six strongest stations on the number
buttons (1/ to 6/ ) automatically.
Restrict the tuning station according to the
signal strength.
Assign or buttons to seek the stations
one by one (manual tuning) or select a station
from the preset channels.
Change seek tuning setting between digital
station seek ([ON]) and all station seek ([OFF])
depending on the reception status.
Set [ON] to switch to the analog broadcast of the
same frequency level automatically if a digital
broadcast reception is poor. Set [OFF] to receive
analog broadcast only.
