PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
SANICOMPACT
Comfort/SANICERAMIC 4

is controlled by an electronic timer.
It macerates and pumps away waste:
The unit is operated by pressing one of the
two options of the grey pushbutton built into
the bowl (light grey: short flush, dark grey: full
flush).

NB:
before installing your SANICOMPACT
Comfort/SANICERAMIC 4
, make sure that

the wall which is to bear the load is strong
enough to support the appliance. (Max shear
force per fixing: 120kg).

FIXING THE BOWL ONTO THE
SUPPORTING UNIT
1
- Secure the M12 rods
fixing holes so the following length
protrudes:
L = 45 mm + X (X = thickness of any
covering panel, plasterboard or tiling).

- Position the plastic inserts
holes of the bowl.
NB:
make sure the side opening in the
insert is in line with the side opening in
the bowl

ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF THE UNIT

- Attach the feet
and screw into the frame.

Offer the support unit up to the wall.
3
- Adjust the height of the bowl above
the floor: for a seat height of 430mm
(standard height), adjust the rods
to protrude by 65mm.
Check that the unit is horizontal.

FIXING THE UNIT TO THE WALL
1 -
Offer the unit up to the wall.
2 -
Check that the unit fits flush to the wall.

- Mark the unit fixing points (2 holes in the
upper part of the unit and 2 holes in the
lower part).

if your wall is not perfectly vertical,
NB:
use the four holes provided on the unit to
make good any gap between it and the
wall by adding washers.
These gaps are filled by adding flat washers –
not supplied – between the wall and the unit.

Choose wall fixings suitable for the wall
material (use 8mm x 120 mm or larger –
not supplied).

- Drill holes in the wall using a suitable
CR15 DF
size of bit – not supplied – for the
3 m
chosen fixing.

WATER SUPPLY
1 -
Run the water supply with copper pipe
in 15 mm, fitted with a 22 mm male iron
to connect to the SANICOMPACT
Comfort/SANICERAMIC 4

The water supply pipe must be fitted in
the upper part of the frame.

WARNING:
isolation valve when fitting the pan.

For correct rinsing of the bowl, the water

pressure entering the pan must be

It is essential to install an

DISCHARGE CONNECTION
1 -
The discharge pipe should be either
copper or UPVC solvent weld pipe with
32 mm diameter.
2 -
Put the end of the pipe through the
upper part of the frame.
If the discharge pipework runs to a level
3 -
considerably lower than SANICOMPACT
Comfort/SANICERAMIC 4
resultant syphoning effect can suck out the
water seal in the unit. Fitting an air admit-
tance valve (BBA approved) at the high
point of the pipe run will overcome this pro-
blem.
7f ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY

The electrical installation work must be
carried out by a qualified person.
The electrical installation work for the
equipment, in a bathroom, must be carried
out in accordance with the standards in force
in the country (NF C 15-100 in France).
The electric power supply as wired
beforehand by the installer must be class 1,
using 3 X 0.75 sq. mm wiring.
1 – Connect the electric power supply to a
triple screw connector (not supplied) in
an
IP55 junction box (Sarel 01650 or
similar) installed beforehand, complying
with the following colours:
Brown = phase
Blue = neutral
Green/Yellow = earth.
2 – This connection must be used solely to
power the equipment, and it must be
protected by a high sensitivity 30mA
differential circuit breaker, set at 16 A.

ATTENTION:
the electrical junction box
must remain accessible after installation
of the toilet.
MOUNTING THE PAN AND

CUTTING OUT THE FASCIA
PANEL
1 -
Offer up the fascia panel (not provided) to
the support frame which has been fixed to
the wall.
2 -
Locate the panel exactly to the support
frame.
3
- Drill 2 holes (25mm) through the fascia
panel to correspond with the threaded rods
on which the pan will hang.
4
- Offer up the template
to the support wall
C
fascia, positioning the holes for the WC
support rods accordingly.
5 -
Trace the inner shape of the template onto
the fascia.
6
- Remove the template
and cut out the
C
fascia as traced.
7
- Make any finishes to the support wall and
fix on the fascia panel.
8 -
Note:
If you are tiling the wall, the tiles will
have to be cut out in the same way as the
fascia panel.
