• Keep coffee powder which is not being used in a cool, dry place. When you have
opened a pack of coffee powder, seal it shut again and store it in the fridge to keep
it fresh.
• Do not use coffee powder a second time because this will considerably reduce the
coffee fl avour. It is also not advisable to reheat coffee because coffee only tastes
best straight after it has been prepared.
• Clean the coffee machine if overextraction causes oil contamination. Little drops of
oil on the surface of the black coffee which is prepared indicate that extraction of
oil from the coffee has taken place. Oil contamination can occur more frequently if
strongly roasted varieties of coffee are used.

Using the Toaster

CAUTION!
❐ You might notice a strange smell the fi rst time you toast something. We therefore
recommend that you fi rst perform 3 toastings at the highest setting without any
bread in order to allow any production residues that may exist to evaporate. You
should leave a three-minute gap between each toasting. During this time, make sure
the room is well ventilated, e.g. with wide-open windows!
❐ Before using the toaster, make sure the crumb tray is inserted completely.
❐ Danger of burns! Do not allow clothing such as shawls, scarves, ties, and long hair
to hang into or over the toasting slots.
