Check wearing parts
- Replace faulty wearing parts
Purge the gas nozzle of welding spatter
Check gas nozzle, spatter guard and insulation for damage and replace damaged
components.
In addition to the steps listed above, the following additional steps should always be
carried out prior to start-up, for water-cooled welding torches:
- Ensure that all coolant connections are leak-tight
- Ensure that there is a proper coolant return flow
Clean the wirefeeding hose with reduced compressed air pressure
Recommended: When replacing the inner liner, clean the wearing parts before re-in-
stalling the inner liner
Remove the extraction nozzle and ensure that the interior of the OPT/i FumeEx is not
blocked
