According to BMASK-461.309/0006-VII/A/2/2011 depending on the duration of the work, additional seating boards and working
seats must be used:
➢
Up to a working time (between two breaks or changes of activity) of maximum 30 minutes, a suitable harness with an integrated
sit harness according to EN813 is adequate.
➢
With working times of more than 30 minutes up to 4 hours in addition to the full body safety harness with integrated sit harness
according to EN813, a seating board must be used.
➢
With working times of more than 4 hours, a working seat with lumbar support and the possibility of leg relief must be used in
addition to the full body safety harness.
5.1 GEO-Salus-ASCEND shoulder strap
All ASCEND models are provided with a permanently sewn-in climbing clamp with screw connector instead of a karabiner as
possible connection (E). The climbing clamp must be connected to the screw connector on the hip belt - see item 7. Assembly of
shoulder strap and seat harness.
ATTENTION: Please note the manufacturer instructions for use of the climbing clamp and the screw connector for
the ASCEND models. They are enclosed with the product.

Assembly of shoulder strap and seat harness
ATTENTION: The shoulder strap may only be used combined with the GEO-Salus seat harness.
Never use the shoulder strap alone or with other seat harnesses. The GEO-Salus seat harness
may only be used with the GEO-Salus shoulder strap or the GEO-Salus-ASCEND shoulder strap
as full body harness according to EN 361.

Putting on and adjusting the GEO-Salus models
7.1 GEO-Salus seat harness:
1. Open the insertion buckles (K) of the leg loops by pressing the lateral push pieces.
2. Increase the width of both adjustable buckles (G) of the hip belt by lifting and pulling the frame buckles outwards at the same
time.
3. Step into the seat harness as into trousers and pull it up to the hip area.
4. Tighten the hip belt by pulling the loose ends of the strap of both frame buckles (G) inwards towards the centre. Take care to fit
firmly on or above the hip bones.
5. Close the insertion buckles (K) on the leg loops.
6. Adjust the suitable width on the leg loop insertion buckles. The leg loop tightens when the loose ends of the strap are pulled
outwards. The leg loop increases by lifting and pulling the insertion buckle to the front at the same time
7. Insert the loose belt ends into the provided belt loops.
7.2 GEO-Salus full body harness:
ATTENTION: Only suitable for use together with the GEO-Salus shoulder strap or the GEO-Salus-
ASCEND shoulder strap.
1.
Open the insertion buckles (K) of the leg loops by pressing the lateral push pieces.
2.
Increase the width of both adjustable buckles (G) of the hip belt by lifting and pulling the frame buckles outwards at the same
time.
3.
Unhook the connection possibility (E) of the respective shoulder strap from the hip belt, see item 7 Assembly of shoulder strap
and hip belt.
4.
Step into the seat harness as into trousers and pull it up to the hip area.
5.
Tighten the hip belt by pulling the loose ends of the strap of both frame buckles (G) inwards towards the centre. Take care to fit
firmly on or above the hip bones.
6.
Pull the chest strap of the connection possibility (E) over the head and hook the connection possibility (E) again into the central
textile loop of the hip strap, so that the D ring (F) can be folded forwards.
7.
Close the insertion buckles (K) on the leg loops.
8.
Adjust the suitable width on the leg loop insertion buckles (K). The leg loop tightens when the loose ends of the strap are pulled
outwards. The leg loop increases by lifting and pulling the insertion buckle to the front at the same time
Adjusting the harness to the body: Tighten the individual belts by pulling on the belt ends – release by simply lifting the buckles.

10. Insert the loose belt ends into the provided belt loops
