Rectifying faults

Fault
No output voltage, no LED lights
up
No output voltage, green and
red LED light, power consuming
device is swichted off
No output voltage, green and

device is switched on
The device switches on and off
repeatedly (up to five times, then
the inverter is switched off)
No output voltage, green and
red LED light
The inverter switches off when
the consumer is switched on,

Cause
No contact to the battery
Defective fuse (in the inverter or
the vehicle)
The battery voltage is less than
11 V (MSI212/MSI412) or 22 V
(MSI224/MSI424)
Poor contact to the battery
Input voltage too high.
Overheating
Inadequate cable connection
(cross section too small or poor
contact)
Excessive load
Excessive load
Short circuit or electrical wiring

Starting current too high
Rectifying faults
Remedy
Check contact and cable.
Have an electrician change the
fuse.
Charge the battery (start the
engine).
Clean the contacts.
Check the input voltage.

ensure better ventilation.
Make certain that the ventilation
slots are not covered.
Lower the ambient temperature.
