6. Adjust:
• Throttle cable joint position
Adjustment steps:
• Turn the throttle grip to the fully closed
position.
• Align the mark a on the throttle lever 1
with the mark b on the shift bracket.
• Pull the inner cable of the throttle cable
towards the engine until the free play is
removed.
• Adjust the position of the cable joint 2
until its hole aligns with the set pin.
• Install the clip 3, and then tighten the
locknut 4.
WARNING
The cable joint must be screwed in a
minimum of 8.0 mm (0.31 in).
7. Check:
• Fully closed position
Incorrect → Adjust.
Checking steps:
• Turn the throttle grip to the fully closed
position.
• Check that the cam roller on the throttle
control lever is aligned with the throttle
cam as shown.
8. Check:
• Throttle operation
Unsmooth operation → Adjust.
Checking steps:
• Turn the shift lever to the neutral position.
• Fully open and close the throttle several
times.
• Check that the throttle valve fully opens
and closes.
