• Oil pressure warning indicator
Checking step:
• Disconnect the pink lead 1 of the oil pres-
sure switch.
• Start the engine.
NOTE:
Be sure to place the outboard motor in a test
tank before starting the engine.
• Move the shift lever to forward and oper-
ate the engine at trolling speed for at least
10 seconds.
• Increase the engine speed to 2,500 r/min
or higher.
• Ground the pink lead and check that the
oil pressure warning indicator comes on
after 1 second and that the engine speed
is controlled to about 2,000 r/min.
• Turn the engine start switch to OFF, and
then connect the pink lead.
