IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: To guard against injury, basic safety
precautions should be observed when handling the Exo
Terra Full Moon, including the following:
®
1 READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS and
all important notices on the appliance before using. Failure
to do so may result in damage to unit.
2 DANGER – To avoid possible electrical shock, special
care should be taken. For each of the following situations;
do not attempt repairs yourself, return the appliance to
an authorized service facility for service or discard the
appliance.
A If the appliance falls into water, DON'T reach for
it! First unplug it and then retrieve it. If the electrical
components of the appliance get wet, unplug the appliance
immediately.
B Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It
should not be plugged in if there is water on parts not
intended to be wet.
C Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged
electrical cord or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or if it is
dropped or damaged in any manner. If the supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced only by the manufacturer's
authorized service personnel or by a qualified electrician.
D To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or
electrical outlet getting wet, position the appliance to
one side of a wall mounted outlet to prevent water from
dripping onto the outlet or plug. A "drip-loop" should be
arranged. The "drip-loop" is that part of the cord below the
level of the outlet, or the connector if an extension cord is
used, to prevent water from traveling along the cord and
coming in contact with the outlet. If the plug or outlet does
get wet, DO NOT unplug the electrical cord. Disconnect
the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the
appliance, then unplug and examine for presence of water
in the outlet.
3 This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with significantly impaired physical
or mental capabilities, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children
should always be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
4 To avoid injury, do not contact hot surfaces.
5 Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not
in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before
cleaning. Never yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp
the plug and pull to disconnect.
6 Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the
appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
7 Do not install or store the appliance where it will be
exposed to weather or to temperatures below freezing.
8 The safety of this appliance is guaranteed only provided
that the adaptor and light unit are properly installed.
Ensure sufficient air space around the fixture.
9 If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper
rating should be used. A cord rated for less amperes or
watts than the appliance rating may overheat. Care should
be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped
over or pulled.

Full Moon Installation Instructions
Caution:
A The Exo Terra Full Moon is for indoor, household use
®
only.
B Be sure that the voltage of the mains supply
corresponds to the voltage shown on the rating label of
the unit.
C Before connecting to the mains supply ensure that the
cord and the unit are undamaged.
D WARNING Disconnect the plug of this lighting device
and all other electrical equipment used for the terrarium
before placing your hands in the terrarium and/or
performing any maintenance of any kind.
E WARNING Whenever installing, removing or maintaining
the Full Moon, or any other equipment, always ensure that
it is unplugged.
F Do not place the light unit near filter outputs or expose
it to water spray or humidity. Do not submerge in water.
1 Remove the round metal plate from the magnetic back
of the Full Moon.
2 Hold the Full Moon inside the terrarium, and lead the
electric wire through the cable outlet of your terrarium.
3 Secure the Full Moon by placing it in the desired spot
on the inside of the screen or glass top of the terrarium,
than reposition the round metal plate on the outside of the
screen or glass top in the center of the Full Moon.
4 Plug in the device, and it will automatically light-up
when it gets dark.
5 To test if the device works; cover the night-eye on the
side of the device with your finger, and the device will
light-up.
Cleaning the Unit
1 The Full Moon is not water proof. Do not expose
this lighting device to water spray or humidity. DO NOT
SUBMERSE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
2 No special maintenance is required for the Exo Terra
Full Moon, other than periodic cleaning with a cloth (never
use harsh chemical products or detergents).
GUARANTEE
This product is guaranteed for defects in material or
workmanship for a period of 1 year from date of purchase.
The guarantee is valid with proof of purchase only. The
guarantee is limited to repair or replacement of the product
only and does not cover consequential loss or damage
of or to animate or inanimate objects. The warranty does
not cover wear and tear parts. This guarantee is valid only
under normal operating conditions for which the product is
intended. It excludes any damage caused by unreasonable
use, improper installation, negligence, tampering, or abuse
of the product. The warranty does not cover commercial
use, this product is for indoor household use only. For
guarantee service contact your local pet retailer or write to
the representative in your country. This guarantee does not
affect your statutory rights.

MISE EN GARDE : Pour éviter toute blessure, il faut
observer des précautions élémentaires de sécurité en
manipulant la Lampe Full Moon Exo Terra
suivantes :
1 LIRE ET RESPECTER TOUTES LES CONSIGNES DE
SÉCURITÉ et tous les avis importants relatifs à l'appareil
avant de l'utiliser. Manquer à ces précautions pourrait
entraîner des dommages à celui-ci.
2 DANGER – Pour éviter tout risque de choc électrique,
une attention spéciale est nécessaire. Dans chacune des
situations suivantes, ne pas essayer de réparer l'appareil
soi-même; le retourner plutôt à un service de réparations
autorisé ou le jeter.
A Si l'appareil tombe dans l'eau, NE PAS y toucher. Il faut
d'abord le débrancher, pour ensuite le retirer. Si des pièces
électriques de l'appareil entrent en contact avec de l'eau,
débrancher immédiatement l'appareil.
B Examiner attentivement l'appareil après son installation.
Il ne faut pas le brancher si de l'eau se trouve sur des
pièces qui ne doivent pas être mouillées.
C Ne pas faire fonctionner un appareil dont la fiche
ou le cordon est endommagé, qui ne fonctionne pas
correctement ou qui est tombé ou a été endommagé
d'une manière quelconque. Si le cordon d'alimentation
est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le service de
réparations autorisé du fabricant ou par un électricien
qualifié seulement.
D Afin d'éviter que la fiche ou la prise de courant de
l'appareil se mouille, placer l'appareil à côté d'une prise
de courant murale et faire en sorte que l'eau ne s'égoutte
ni sur cette prise ni sur la fiche. Il faut former une «
boucle d'égouttement ». Celle-ci est la partie du cordon
se trouvant sous la prise de courant ou le raccord, si une
rallonge est utilisée, afin d'empêcher l'eau de glisser le
long du cordon et d'entrer en contact avec la prise de
courant. Si la fiche ou la prise de courant sont mouillées,
NE PAS débrancher l'appareil. Mettre d'abord hors
circuit le fusible ou le disjoncteur qui fournit l'électricité
à l'appareil, puis le débrancher et vérifier qu'il n'y a pas
d'eau dans la prise.
3 Cet appareil ne doit pas être utilisé par des personnes
(y compris des enfants) aux capacités physiques ou
mentales réduites, à moins qu'elles soient placées sous la
surveillance d'une personne responsable de leur sécurité
ou qu'elles en aient reçu les directives nécessaires à
l'utilisation de cet appareil. Toujours surveiller les enfants
pour les empêcher de jouer avec cet appareil.

4 Pour éviter toute blessure, ne toucher aucune pièce
chaude.
5 Toujours débrancher l'appareil lorsqu'il n'est pas
utilisé, avant d'ajouter ou de retirer des pièces, et avant
d'en effectuer le nettoyage. Ne jamais tirer sur le cordon
d'alimentation pour débrancher l'appareil. Prendre plutôt la
fiche entre les doigts, puis tirer.
6 Ne pas se servir de l'appareil pour un usage autre que
celui prévu. L'emploi de fils ou de pièces ni recommandés
ni vendus par le fabricant de l'appareil peut être source de
situations dangereuses.
7 Ne pas installer ni ranger l'appareil où il serait exposé à
des températures sous le point de congélation.
8 Dans la mesure où l'adaptateur et la lampe sont
correctement installés, cet appareil ne représente aucun
danger. Il faut assurer une circulation d'air suffisante
autour de l'appareil.
9 Si une rallonge électrique est nécessaire, vérifier qu'elle
est d'un calibre suffisant. Un cordon électrique de moins
d'ampères ou de watts que l'appareil peut surchauffer.
Des précautions doivent être prises afin d'éviter qu'on tire
la rallonge ou qu'on trébuche sur celle-ci.

Directives d'installation
Attention:
A La Lampe Full Moon Exo Terra

B S'assurer que la tension de la prise électrique est la
même que celle inscrite sur l'étiquette de l'appareil.
C Avant de brancher l'appareil, s'assurer que le cordon
électrique et l'appareil même ne sont pas endommagés.
D AVERTISSEMENT : Avant de se mettre les mains dans
l'eau du terrarium ou d'effectuer tout entretien dans celui-
ci, débrancher la lampe et tout appareil électrique utilisé
pour le terrarium.
E AVERTISSEMENT : Avant d'installer, de retirer ou de
nettoyer la Lampe Full Moon Exo Terra
équipement, toujours s'assurer que tout est bel et bien
débranché.
F Ne pas mettre la lampe près d'une sortie d'eau de filtre
MD , dont les
ni à un endroit où elle serait exposée à de l'humidité ou à

1 Retirer la plaquette métallique circulaire de la surface
magnétique de la Lampe Full Moon.
2 Tenir la Lampe Full Moon à l'intérieur du terrarium et
faire passer son fil électrique par l'ouverture du terrarium
conçue à cette fin.
3 Placer la lampe à l'endroit souhaité, sur la surface
intérieure du couvercle grillagé ou en verre du terrarium,
puis mettre la plaquette métallique circulaire sur la surface
extérieure de ce même couvercle, vis-à-vis le centre de la
lampe. Celle-ci sera ainsi solidement installée.
4 Brancher la lampe, qui s'allumera automatiquement
lorsqu'il fera noir.
5 Vérifier si la lampe fonctionne. Pour ce faire, couvrir le
détecteur de lumière situé sur le côté de la lampe à l'aide
de son doigt. Si elle fonctionne, la lampe s'allumera.
Nettoyage de la lampe
1 La Lampe Full Moon n'est pas étanche. Il ne faut donc
pas l'exposer à des gouttelettes d'eau ou à l'humidité.
