3.11 Mount the first panel layer. First saw the cut-outs for the recessed wall-mounting box
and for the piping, if required.
3.12 Mount the second panel layer. Before this, saw out the cut-outs for the adhesive
flange out of the panel.
Caution!
The second panel layer must lie flush with the front face of the adhesive flange!
3.13 Close off the gap between the second panel layer and the adhesive flange with
permanently elastic jointing compound.
3.14 Cut off the protruding permanently elastic jointing compound flush with a long blade.
There must be a single flush surface comprising the adhesive flange, joint and wall
surface.
Warning!
If the front face of the recessed wall-mounting box protrudes over the front face of
the tile, then the covering panel cannot be mounted flush.
3.15 Roughen the surface of the adhesive flange (sandpaper or wire brush).
3.16 Remove the sanding dust.
3.17 Prime (paint) the roughened adhesive flange (c) with PCI surface primer 303.
3.18 The primer must be allowed to hardened for at least 3 hours.
3.19 Prime (paint) the adjoining wall surface (d) with a strip approx. 10 cm wide of
undercoat and PCI Gisogrund protection primer.
3.20 Allow the undercoat to harden.
3.21 Apply (paint or apply with a palette knife) the first layer of PCI Seccorat sealant over
the full area on the hardened undercoat of the adhesive flange and the adjoining wall
surface.
3.22 Press PCI sealing tape onto the fresh sealant over the gap between the adhesive
flange and the second panel layer.

Allow the sealant to harden in accordance with manufacturer's instructions!
3.23 Apply a second layer of sealant over the entire surface.

3.24 Apply the tile adhesive.

If you intend to apply lime cement plaster onto the sealant, the surface must be pre-
treated.
3.25 Lay the tiles.
3.26 Close off the gap between the recessed wall-mounting box and the tiles with perma-
nently elastic jointing compound.
