1.0 Regulatory information
Jøtul FS 162 - Advance is a freestanding product, which can be
positioned against infl ammable walls at the distances described
in fi g. 1A and fi g. 1B.
The installation of a fi replace must take place in accordance
with each country's laws and regulations. All local ordinances
must also be complied with when products are installed.
Installation instructions for the stove accompany the surround.
Installation and operating instructions for the fi replace insert
accompany the insert. For day-to-day use, maintenance,
service work, etc. see the General use and maintenance
instructions.

The product has been tested and documented as a freestanding
stove in accordance with EN 13240.
The rating plate for the freestanding product comes with the
installation instructions for the surround. It should be positioned
in a suitably visible place.

The product is fi tted with a vent (fi g. 19 A) which must be open
during normal heat production to ensure an adequate supply
of air. The vent may be closed after the fi re has burned down
and the stove will continue to radiate heat for many hours.
