Starting up
The calculator operates
using both daylight and
artificial lighting. When
insufficient light is available,
the battery located in the
back of the calculator
delivers the differential
power necessary to make
up the required amount.
Only high quality leak-
secure battery should be
used as they remain in the
calculator for a long time
due to minimal use.
The calculator has an
automatic switch off which
operates about 8 minutes
after the last entry.
Pressing the key,
the calculator is turned on
again.
Where sufficient light is
available, no battery is
reqired to operate the
calculator.
When the calculator is
moved from dark to light,
illegible characters
sometimes appear in the
display. These can be
cleared by pressing the
key but EURO rate
and Tax rate in memory still
retained.
