The audio signal doesn't cross the potentiometer but it's a 0 to 5 volts signal which command the VCA. The
result is a very long life and absence of unwanted scratch.
A plastic potentiometer option is available.
An electronic detector at the potentiometer beginning (19) (low levels) allows 'Start / Stop' remote control, and
demuting the VCA.
In Line position the remote control start / stop on DB15 (E) is enable.
In Mic position the remote control start / stop on DB15 (E) is disable and start information is send through the
bus bar to switch the external red light interface in the 'Studio' or in the 'Monitor'.
The VCA gain is equal to unity in 0 dB position and +6dB in max position.

Switch on (17) (CUE) to see on 'cue bargraph' or 'cue monitor' the mic level
Select mic mode with (3) and adjust (5) in middle position
Adjust potentiometer (1) to have a level on bargraph near 0 dB with peak modulation of
microphone.
Switch on (17) (CUE) to see on 'cue bargraph' or 'cue monitor' the level
Adjust potentiometer (5) to have on bargraph a level near 0dB with peak modulation
of input signal
