    First of all we want to thank you for putting your trust in us by selecting one of our products. The Vermeiren patient hoists are the result of many years of research and experience. During the development, special attention was given to the ease of use and the serviceability of the patient hoist.

    When used on mats, carpeted floors or loose floor coverings, the floor covering can get damaged. Use only Vermeiren approved accessories. Make sure that the end of the adjustment motor has a safety measurement. Therefore, use the patient hoist only in the middle of the adjustment range and not at the end of the hoist motor.

In this phase, the patient should stay on the footplate and put his feet in the special footrests with the velcro fastening. Then stabilize your feet and legs under your knees by using the velcro belt on the foot- and leg support.

    Albatros II 2012-09 Use of the JUMBO system (battery, control box + included battery charger) JUMBO is a modular system combining an actuator, a control box and a battery in a flexible solution, specially developed for patient hoists. 2.2.1 Battery The battery is above the control box and is replaceable with an integrated clip system.

    2012-09 2.2.4 Charging the batteries Use only the control box with included battery charger on the Albatros II or the external charger meant to be mounted on the wall. We recommend that you should regularly recharge the batteries in order to ensure that the hoist remains usable and to extend the lifespan of the batteries.
  • Page 14 Albatros II 2012-09 2.3.2 Parking brakes Secure the two casters at the back of the chassis by pressing the caster brake plates down gently to their end stops with the tip of your foot. To release the brake, push the brake plate gently back up again with the front of your foot until the casters are free.
  • Page 15 Albatros II 2012-09 2.3.5 Thorax support To stabilize and support your thorax, the lift is equipped with thorax pillow and velcro belts to stabilize. The thorax support can be adjusted in 2 different positions 1045 mm, 1200 mm. These positions are measured from the footplate until the top of the thorax support.

    Albatros II 2012-09 Emergency In cases for emergency the emergency stop and the function for lowering in an emergency must be used. 2.6.1 Emergency stop In emergencies, and during assembly and disassembly, the emergency stop is activated by pressing the red button on the control box.

    Installation and adjustment The instructions in this chapter are for the specialist dealer. To find a service facility or specialist dealer near you, contact the nearest Vermeiren facility. A list of Vermeiren facilities can be found on the last page.
  • Page 19 Albatros II 2012-09 3.2.2 Assembly WARNING: Risk of clamping - Take care that no body parts and wires get trapped, crushed or cut during assembly. 1. Remove the safety spindle (locking pin) from the bottom end of the pole by gently pressing the button at the head of the spindle.
  • Page 20 Albatros II 2012-09 Remove the cantilever arm from the top end of the pole . This is possible by pulling on the pen 5. Mount the slide column with the foot support attachment in the tube of the patient hoist frame.

    Albatros II 2012-09 Gebruik van het JUMBO-systeem (batterij, controlebox + interne batterijlader) JUMBO is een modulair systeem waarbij een motor, een controlebox en een batterij in één enkele oplossing worden gecombineerd; speciaal ontworpen voor patiëntenliften. 2.2.1 Batterij De batterij bevindt zich boven de controlebox en kan worden vervangen met een ingebouwd klemsysteem.

    2012-09 2.2.4 Laden van de batterijen Gebruik enkel de controlebox met de interne batterijlader op de Albatros II of de externe oplader die aan de muur moet worden bevestigd. We raden U aan om de batterijen regelmatig opnieuw op te laden om ervoor te zorgen dat de lift bruikbaar blijft en om de levensduur van de batterijen te verlengen.
  • Page 60 Albatros II 2012-09 2.3.2 Parkeerremmen Vergrendel de twee wielen aan de achterzijde van het chassis door met de voet de rempedaal van de wielen zachtjes omlaag te drukken tot de wielen blokkeren. Om de rem los te maken drukt U met de voet de rempedaal weer zachtjes naar boven totdat de wielen worden vrijgegeven.
  • Page 61 Albatros II 2012-09 2.3.5 Thorax ondersteuning Om Uw thorax te stabiliseren en te ondersteunen, is de lift voorzien van een thorax kussen en velcro riemen om te stabiliseren. De thorax ondersteuning kan in 2 verschillende posities 1045 mm, 1200 mm worden gezet.

    WAARSCHUWING: Risico op letsel - Gebruik alleen geschikte tilbanden voor de patiënten. WAARSCHUWING: Risico op letsel – Gebruik geen beschadigde tilbanden. De Albatros II patiëntenlift mag alleen worden gebruikt met tilbanden die zijn ontworpen voor de Vermeiren Albatros II patiëntenlift. Raadpleeg de handleidingen van de desbetreffende tilbanden voor gebruiksaanwijzingen.

    Albatros II 2012-09 Noodgeval In noodgevallen moeten de noodstopknop en de functie voor het omlaag brengen van de patiënt worden gebruikt. 2.6.1 Noodstopknop In noodgevallen, en tijdens montage en demontage, wordt de noodrem geactiveerd door op de rode knop op de controlebox te drukken.

    Albatros II 2012-09 3.2.2 Montage WAARSCHUWING: Risico op klemmen - Let erop dat er geen lichaamsdelen of bedrading vast komen te zitten, of worden platgedrukt tijdens de montage. 1. Verwijder de vergrendelas (steekas) aan het ondereinde van de mast door de drukknop op de kop van de as licht in te drukken.
  • Page 66 Albatros II 2012-09 Verwijder de hefarm van de bovenkant van de mast doet door voorzichtig aan de pin te trekken. 5. Monteer de geleidingskolom met de bevestiging van de voetsteun in de buis van het frame van de patiëntenlift. Zet de hendel terug vast.
  • Page 67 Albatros II 2012-09 Trek de motor zachtjes uit de zwarte klem Bevestig de motor aan de hefarm met behulp van de pijpborgpen Zorg ervoor dat de motor goed tussen de hefarm wordt geplaatst. 9. Bevestig de voetplaat met de haken op het chassis van de patiëntenlift.

WAARSCHUWING: Risico op letsel - Controleer of de noodstopknop (rode drukknop op de controlebox) is ingeschakeld, om onbedoelde bewegingen tijdens het afstellen te voorkomen.
