Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so that
it can be recycled.
This device is governed by the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electri-
cal and electronic equipment (WEEE). Do not dispose of this device as normal
domestic waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via an offi cially
approved waste disposal company.
The battery should be removed prior to disposal of the device and disposed of
separately from the device. To protect the environment, non-rechargeable and
rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with regular household waste,
but must be taken to suitable collection points.

Removing the Battery

PLEASE NOTE!
■ The main unit may only be opened for the disposal of the battery.
■ The battery must not be taken apart, thrown into a fi re, immersed in liquids or
short-circuited.
This device contains a built-in battery, which must be removed prior to disposal of the
used device.
1. The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the main unit (8). Undo the
screw of the battery compartment.
2. Slide open the battery compartment, you may need to employ a little force or a tool
(e.g. screwdriver). Take care when opening the main unit, short-circuits must be
avoided.
3. Undo the clip on the connecting cable and take out the battery.
