In order for the hoister to function in an appropriate and lasting way, the chosen model must be ad-
equate for the work needed.
The parameters that must be taken into consideration are:
- Lifting power: it is to be determined by the maximum weight to be lifted (lifter plus load). It must
never exceed that of the lifting apparatus (crane, etc.).
- Load features: the material must have a smooth and clean surface, must be of adequate thickness
and must be ferromagnetic. The steel must be of low carbon content otherwise, if "bonded", ap pro -
pri ate reductions should be made (see par 3.3).

CONSTRUCTION

The MaxX mechanical structure provides very few components.
Rotor and stator, made of steel and with a high magnetic permeability degree, are obtained through
mechanical manufacturing of a solid workpiece, controlled by digital machines. This ensures the de sired
uniformity, solidity and quality needed for mass-produced mag net ic lifters. The material used (steel,
aluminum, plastic) is easy to dispose of and to recycle when dismantling the machine.
The magnetic material used, with high specifi c energy, has allowed the manufacturer to highly re duce
product weight and size. In order to ensure high quality of performance, the Maxx lifter is mag net ized
all in one go after assembly, by means of the greatest magnetizing apparatus ever made in Europe.

PERFORMANCE

The performances of each model and the characteristics of the
load size lim its are shown on the fol low ing page. The above-men-
tioned technical char ac ter is tics are also indicated on the tag that is
located on the hoist. All the man u fac tured models un der go test ing
that ver i fi es their per form ance. This test is car ried out by plac ing
the hoist in position and starting it up on the 80mm thick mild steel
plate with ground surface of a dy namo met ric machine (see photo).
For any material other than soft steel the following re duc tion fac-
tors must be used to calculate the appropriate lifting pow er: al loy
steel=0,8; steel with a high amount of carbon= 0,7; cast iron=0,45.
The thickness of the load also infl uences the lifting pow er of the
hoister; for those thicknesses smaller than the width of the pole
there is a reduction in lifting power, approximately pro por tion al to
the ratio of the thickness (s) of the item to be lifted to the width (L)
of the pole. Lifting power reduction factor = S/L.
The load temperature must not exceed 80°C; for greater tem per a-
tures contact our tech ni cal staff.
