With all clamping nuts, or with the clamping sleeve of the
"p"-type balancers, the clamping head is only slid on the
axle and can be turned to be applied the other way round if
necessity arises.

How to proceed with the quick-clamping nut
•
Slide the correct centring cone or centring ring (function
of centre bore diameter) on the cone adaptor.
•
Position the wheel on the centring cone/ring and retain in
vertical position by hand.
•
To fit the quick-clamping nut press on one lever of the
threaded segments (Fig. 8), slide quick-clamping nut
and clamping head over the threaded axle up to the
wheel and release the lever of the threaded segments.
•
Continue to rotate the quick-clamping nut until it contacts
the wheel (Fig. 9).
•
To tighten the nut firmly, press with the hand against
either of the struts of the handwheel (Fig. 10) or against
either of the wings, retaining the wheel with the other
hand, or operating the main shaft lock if provided on the
machine.
As the nut is tightened the spring-supported cone is
pressed into the basic bod and the wheel is centred on
the centring cone and clamped via the clamping head.
Note
Tighten the clamping nut by hand only and not using a hammer
or the like.
2.3
Unclamping the wheel
•
Untighten the quick-clamping nut approximately by 1 or 2
turns until the stop is released. To release the quick-
clamping nut completely, pull at either of the struts of the
handwheel (Fig. 10) or at either of the wings, retaining
the wheel with the other hand, or operating the auxiliary
clamping pedal if provided on the machine.
•
Then press on either of the levers of the threaded seg-
ments (Fig. 11, arrows) and remove the cone adaptor
from the threaded axle. Make sure to hold the wheel in
vertical position so that it will not turn over, or drop on the
threaded axle.
•
Remove the wheel from the cone adaptor.

Pour tous les écrous de serrage, ou pour la douille de ser-
rage des équilibreuses "p", la tête de serrage n'est que glis-
sée sur l'axe et peut être tournée pour une application de
l'autre côté en cas de besoin.

Leviers des segments filetés des écrous à serrage rapide
Comment à procéder – écrou de serrage rapide
•
Faire glisser le cône ou l'anneau de centrage correct
(fonction du diamètre du trou central) sur le cône de ser-
rage.
•
Positionner la roue sur le cône/l'anneau de centrage (la
retenir en position verticale à la main).
•
Pour fixer l'écrou rapide, appuyer sur un des leviers des
segments filetés (Fig. 8), faire glisser l'écrou à serrage
rapide et la tête de serrage sur l'axe fileté jusqu'à la roue
et relâcher le levier des segments filetés.
•
Continuer à tourner l'écrou rapide jusqu'à ce que l'il soit
en contact avec la roue (Fig. 9).
•
Pour serrer l'écrou fermement, presser la main contre un
des bras du volant à main (Fig. 10), ou contre une des
oreilles, en retenant la roue par la deuxième main, ou en
appuyant sur la pédale de blocage si prévue sur la ma-
chine.
L'écrou serré, le cône à ressort est pressé dans le corps
de base et la roue est centrée sur le cône de centrage et
serrée moyennant la tête de serrage.
Note
Serrer l'écrou de serrage seulement à la main et ne jamais en
utilisant un marteau ou de pareil.
2.3
Desserrage de la roue
•
Desserrer l'écrou à serrage rapide d'un ou deux tours
jusqu'à ce que la butée soit relâchée. Pour relâcher l'é-
crou rapide complètement, tirer sur un des bras du volant
à main (Fig. 10), ou sur une des oreilles, en retenant la
roue par la deuxième main, ou en appuyant sur la pédale
de blocage auxiliaire si prévue sur la machine.
•
Puis appuyer sur un des leviers des segments filetés
(Fig. 11, flèches) et enlever l'écrou à serrage rapide de
l'axe fileté. Tenir la roue en position verticale pour qu'elle
ne se renverse pas ou ne tombe pas sur l'axe fileté.
•
Enlever la roue du cône de serrage.
