· Never use the appliance if it is defective, if it has fallen onto the floor or if the mains cable
is damaged. A damaged mains cable may only be replaced with an original replacement
cable by an authorised Service Centre or another similarly qualified person, in order to avoid
hazards.
· Repairs may only be performed at an authorised Service Centre using original parts. Only
specialists properly trained in the handling of electrotechnical appliances may repair electrical
equipment.
· Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
· When disconnecting the appliance from the mains, never pull on the mains cable or on the
appliance itself.
· Do not hold the appliance by the mains cable to carry it and do not use the cable as a
handle.
· Do not wind the mains cable around the appliance.
· Keep the mains cable and appliance away from hot surfaces.
· Make sure that the mains cable is not twisted or kinked when used and stored.
· Never use the appliance where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is
released.
· Do not expose the appliance to temperatures below 0°C and above +40°C for any length of
time. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
· The appliance is safety insulated and radio screened. It meets the requirements of EU
Directive 2004/108/EC regarding electromagnetic compatibility and EC Low Voltage Directive
2006/95/EC.
· We are not liable for damage caused as a result of improper use or failure to observe these
operating instructions.
CERAMIC and TOURMALINE coating
The titan-coloured coated heating plates have an antistatic effect and are gentle to the hair.
Negative ions close the scale layer, creating a smooth, silky hair surface. and lock in the natural
moisture of the hair, thereby creating the ultimate shine. Negative ions also remove the static
charging of the hair surface.
Operation
· Connect to the mains power supply. A double acoustic signal will sound.
· Switch on the appliance by shortly pressing the on/off switch (E) once (Fig. 1). An acoustic
signal will sound. The LCD display lights up blue and shows the current temperature. The
highest temperature is preset at 230°C.
· Adjust the desired operating temperature by using the temperature switches (D). An acoustic
signal will sound during adjustment. The operating temperature can be set within a range of
80-230°C in 10°C increments.

· Once the set operating temperature has been reached, the display shows the temperature.
· After use, switch off the appliance by longer pressing the on/off switch (E) (Fig. 1). The LCD
display goes out.
· Disconnect from the mains power supply.
· Allow the appliance to cool down.
