9. Commissioning

a) Basic settings
After activation of the mains voltage, the surveillance camera will work with the following basic settings:
Time
Date
Mains frequency
Recording interval
Resolution
Recording mode
Lamp function
After each change, the red LED behind the diffuser pane of the motion detector flashes for about
60 seconds.
During this time, the PIR sensor of the motion detector is deactivated to give you enough time to
leave the recording range (this avoids unnecessary recordings).
b) Sensor Test
You can activate a test mode to verify correct alignment of the motion detector (and the camera).
Proceed as follows:
• To activate the test mode, briefly push the button „M" (9) and „5" (12) at the same time. For the activated
test mode, the upper display line shows „TEST" and the lower one the date.
• Walk across the desired recording area.
The red LED behind the diffuser disc of the motion detector lights up when a heat change was recognised
in the surveillance area (observe chapter 7, which explains how the motion detector works).
• Adjust the position of the monitoring camera or the motion detector until the LED in the desired recording
area lights up.
• To leave the test mode, briefly push the button „M" (9) and „5" (12) at the same time again. The display
„TEST" disappears again.
