IMPORTANT: DO NOT use a compressed air source (i.e.,
automotive tire air compressor) to inflate boats.
Overinflation through the use of compressed air may
result in ruptured seams and/or bulkheads.

ASSEMBLY

1. Remove any sharp objects from flat surface where boat will
be assembled.
2. Unfold and spread boat out flat.
3. Screw in each off the 4 valve assemblies. Verify the cap
gasket is in place. Attach valve retainer to each chamber.
Each boat is fitted with Halkey–Roberts corrosion–free air
valves. These valves have stainless steel springs and use
internal air pressure for an automatic seal.

IMPORTANT: The valve and fill adapter must be kept clean
to insure a positive air tight seal.
a - Inflatable Tube Valves (Typical Locations)
b - Keel Valve (Not On 7'6" (240 RU)
Location of Valves
4. If using the boat for the first time, remove the outer cap
making sure the valve core (poppet) is in the up or closed
position. Insert the fill adapter end firmly into the valve.
Inflate each air chamber evenly. Fully inflate boat by
attaching the air pump to each of the valves (a and b), one
at a time, and pump air to maintain a balance of pressure
between chambers until the pump no longer provides air
(the foot pump valve will pop off at approximately 250
MBAR). The double action pump is equipped with a gauge.
When boat is fully inflated, depress the valve core and
allow approximately 1/2 the air to escape. Release valve
core and continue with assembly.
NOTE: Do not inflate keel until floor boards are installed.
5. If boat has been previously inflated, attach the air pump to
each valve, one at a time, and add air to each chamber to
1/2 capacity of chamber.

DISASSEMBLY

NOTE: Boat should be clean and dry before rolling up for
storage. Remove any sand and debris that may cling to the
fabric.
1. To deflate, remove the outer valve caps, push and turn the
center valve core (poppet) 1/2 turn in either direction to lock
the valve open. Depress the tubes and air will exit through
the valves.
2. Remove seat.
3. Remove side joiners from floor boards.
4. Raise one of the middle floor boards and detach from "H"
joints. Remove floor boards. Remove bow and transom
boards last.
5. Place floor boards, "H" joints, side joiners and oars in
carrying bag.
6. Using pump as a suction device, remove excess air from
each chamber.
7. With bottom side facing down, tuck gunwhale tubes into
boat. Roll boat from either end and place in carrying bag
along with air pump and hose.
