2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Die Geräte (Monitor, Kamera und Netzgerät) entspre-
chen der Richtlinie für elektromagnetische Verträg-
lichkeit 89/336/EWG. Das Netzgerät entspricht zu-
sätzlich der Niederspannungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.
Das Netzgerät und der Monitor arbeiten mit le-
bensgefährlich hoher Spannung. Nehmen Sie des-
halb niemals selbst Eingriffe in diesen Geräten vor!
Durch unsachgemäßes Vorgehen besteht die Ge-
fahr eines elektrischen Schlages. Außerdem er-
lischt beim Öffnen von Monitor, Netzgerät oder
Kamera jeglicher Garantieanspruch.
Beachten Sie für den Betrieb auch unbedingt die fol-
genden Punkte:
Die Geräte sind nur zur Verwendung in Räumen
geeignet.
Schützen Sie die Geräte vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0–40 °C).
Die in den Geräten entstehende Wärme muß durch
Luftzirkulation abgegeben werden. Decken sie da-
rum die Lüftungsöffnungen an den Gehäusen nicht
nicht mit irgendwelchen Gegenständen ab.

2 Safety Notes
The units (monitor, camera and power supply) corre-
spond to the directive 89/336/EEC for electromag-
netic compatibility. In addition, the power supply cor-
responds to the low voltage directive 73/23/EEC.
The power supply and the monitor use lethally high
voltage. In order to prevent a shock hazard, do not
open these units. Leave servicing to authorized,
skilled personnel only. Moreover, any guarantee
claim expires if the monitor, the power supply or
the camera has been opened.
For operation also observe in any case the following:
These units are suitable for indoor use only.
Protect the units against humidity and heat (per-
missible ambient temperature range 0–40 °C).
The heat being generated in the units has to be
removed via air circulation. Therefore the circula-
tion vents at the housings must not be covered with
any objects.
Do not insert or drop anything into the air vents!
This could result in electric shock.
Do not set the monitor to operation, and immedi-
ately disconnect the power supply from the mains if:
1. damage at the monitor, the power supply or the
mains cable can be seen,
Stecken Sie nichts durch die Lüftungsöffnungen
bzw. lassen Sie nichts hineinfallen! Dabei kann es
zu einem elektrischen Schlag kommen.
Nehmen Sie den Monitor nicht in Betrieb, und tren-
nen Sie das Netzgerät sofort vom Netz, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Monitor, am Netzgerät
oder an der Netzanschlußleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Lassen Sie die Geräte in jedem Fall in einer Fach-
werkstatt reparieren.
Eine beschädigte Netzanschlußleitung des Netz-
gerätes darf nur durch den Hersteller oder durch
eine autorisierte Fachwerkstatt ersetzt werden.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker des Netzgerätes nie
an der Zuleitung aus der Steckdose.
Werden die Geräte zweckentfremdet, falsch ange-
schlossen, nicht richtig bedient oder nicht fachge-
recht repariert, kann für eventuelle Schäden keine
Haftung übernommen werden.
Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trocke-
nes, weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Wasser oder
Chemikalien.
Sollen die Geräte endgültig aus dem Betrieb ge-
nommen werden, übergeben Sie sie zur Entsor-
gung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das Video/Audio-System TV-501SET ist speziell für
Überwachungseinsätze konzipiert und besteht aus
folgenden Komponenten:
- 12,7-cm-Monitor (5") mit internem Lautsprecher,
- TV-CCD-S/W-Kamera mit Fixfokus-Objektiv und
eingebautem Mikrofon,
- Netzgerät,
- zwei Kamerahalter inkl. Montageschrauben,
- 20-m-Verbindungskabel.
Der Monitor besitzt zusätzlich einen Audio- und Video-
eingang und einen Audio- und Videoausgang, so daß
es möglich ist, weitere Geräte - z. B. einen Video-

inally intended, if they are connected or operated in
the wrong way or not repaired by authorized, skilled
personnel, no liability can be taken over for poss-
ible damage.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.
If the units are to be put out of operation definitive-
ly, bring them to a local recycling plant for disposal.
Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in the mains lead of the power supply are
coloured in accordance with the following code:
blue = neutral; brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is marked
with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
3 Applications
The video/audio system TV-501SET has been de-
signed especially for monitoring applications and
consists of the following units:
- 12.7 cm monitor (5") with internal speaker
- TV-CCD B/W camera with fixfocus lens and in-
stalled microphone
- power supply unit
