Step 4: Program the sounder in the alarm panel

• If this has not been done already, switch the alarm panel on.
• Place the sounder next to the alarm panel or within range of the alarm panel with which it
communicates.
• Connect the two batteries to the sounder, taking care to observe correct polarity (see Fig. 2).
Caution and important
The sounder or the batteries could get damaged if correct polarity is not observed.

• Select:
Installer Mode -> Components -> Outdoor sounders -> Wireless sounders ->
Add/remove sounders -> Wireless sound. 0x
The message "Activate the tamper contact of the sounder" is displayed.
• Press the tamper switch (see Fig. 1).
The sounder then sends a teach-in signal to the alarm panel. The alarm panel
recognises the sounder and the notification "Sounder added" is displayed.
Note:
Follow the instructions in the "Operation of the comfort LEDs" chapter.
Do not press the tamper switch too quickly or too frequently multiple times in a row. Otherwise it
could accidentally switch the comfort LED display over.
Comfort LED display:
Each time the tamper switch is pressed, there is a time out of 500 ms.
This means that in order to switch the comfort LED display, the switch must in each case be
pressed within this time window.
If the housing is opened and closed many times (more than 5 times), the pressing of the tamper
switch is outside of the 500 ms time frame and therefore no accidental switching takes place.
