WARNING:
Before inspecting, cleaning, or performing any
maintenance, make sure the switch is in the off (O)
position, wait for all moving parts to stop, and disconnect
from the power supply. Failure to follow these instructions
can result in death, serious personal injury, or property
damage.
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts could create a hazard or cause
product damage.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which could result in serious personal
injury.
CLEANING THE MISTING VALVE SCREEN
See Figure 20.
 Remove the rubber washer from inside the misting tube
coupler.
 Carefully remove the screen.
 Thoroughly clean the screen with water and a soft brush.
 Replace screen and rubber washer.
NOTE: Do not operate the misting fan without the screen
installed.

MAINTENANCE

NOZZLE MAINTENANCE
Irregular mist patterns or leakage may be the result of a
clogged or dirty nozzle. To clean nozzles:
 Turn the hose faucet completely off.
 Remove the brass nozzles from the misting ring.
 Soak nozzles in Arctic Cove nozzle cleaner (not included)
to loosen foreign materials clogging or restricting the
nozzle.
 Using a garden hose, flush debris out of nozzle by back
flushing (running the water through the nozzle backwards
or from the outside to the inside).
 Reconnect the nozzle to the misting ring.
NOZZLE REPLACEMENT
See Figure 21.
Use replacement brass nozzles MAC080 when replacing
worn nozzles.
 Remove the nozzles from the misting ring by turning them
counterclockwise.
 Gently remove the washers and set aside.
 Replace the O-ring washers on the new brass nozzles
with the washer removed from the old nozzles.
 Turning clockwise, install the brass nozzles to the misting
ring.
WARNING:
Ensure all components of misting fan are properly assem-
bled after maintenance has been performed and that the
system does not leak water. Improper hose connections
and/or leaks can result in a slippery surface and create
a slip and fall hazard, electric shock, pinching hazard, or
other serious personal injury.
NOTICE:
Ensure all hoses are disconnected and properly drained
when not in use and prior to freezing temperatures. Water
remaining in hoses during freezing conditions may freeze
and damage unit.
