Step 1 – Additional backup module connection

Connect the backup module (external battery) to the UPS thanks to an optional battery
connector (in case of extended backup time only).

NOTE: Maximum connected external battery boxes up to 8 units.
If connecting more one external battery box, it's requested to connect load at 80% of UPS
capacity.
NOTES 2: When connecting battery cabinet, adjust battery capacity and battery charger
power (see Configuration 3-5).
Step 2: UPS input connection

Plug the UPS into a two-pole, three-wire, grounded receptacle only. Avoid using extension
cords. The power cord is supplied in the UPS package.
Note: Check if the site wiring fault indicator lights up in LCD panel. It will be illuminated when
the UPS is plugged into an improperly wired utility power outlet (Refer to Troubleshooting
section). Please also check if there is a circuit breaker against overcurrent and short circuit
between the mains and AC input of the UPS for safety operation. The recommended
protection value as following: 10A for the 1K and 1.5K models, 16A for the 2K and 3K
models.
Step 2 - UPS output connection

For socket-type outputs, there are two kinds of outputs: programmable outlets and general
outlets. Please connect non-critical devices to the programmable outlets and critical devices
to the general outlets. During power failure, you may extend the backup time to critical
devices by setting shorter backup time for non-critical devices.
Step 3 - Communication connection


Communication ports:

To allow unattended UPS shutdown/start-up and status monitoring, connect the
communication cable one end to the USB or RS-232 port and the other to the
