Pay attention to the codes on the CZM100. One CRC100 or
CRC200 has to be assigned to each zone connected to a
CZM100.

Commissioning

First make all electrical connections and then carry out
the commissioning!
▶ Observe the installation instruction for all
components and assemblies in the system.
▶ Ensure that several CZM100 are not coded alike.
▶ Make sure that several CZM100 in a system are
coded only with 1, 2 and 3 or with 4, 5 and 6.
▶ Switch on the power supply only after all CZM100 are
set up.
NOTICE: After power is switched on, connected
circulator pumps may start to run immediately if the
CRC100/CRC200 has not recognized the CZM100.
▶ Fill the system before switching on the power so that
the pumps do not run dry.
5.1

Commissioning CZM100 and system

1. Set the CZM100 function by means of the code switch
( Chapter 2.2).
2. If necessary, set the code switch on other modules.
3. Switch on the power supply (mains voltage) to the entire system.
Once the status indicator on the CZM100 is illuminated green
continuously:
4. Put the CRC100/CRC200 into service as described in the
accompanying installation instructions and make the appropriate
settings.
5.2
Status indicators for the heating zones on the
CZM100
In addition to the code switch, the CZM100 has 4 LEDs that indicate the
respective status of the connected heating zones.
• LED 1, 2 and 3 indicate the status of the heating zones connected to
the CZM100:
– Green: Heat requirement given by CRC; actuators not active
– Red: Heating zone active (circulator pump on or zone valve open)
• LED 4 indicates a status for all heating zones connected to the
CZM100:
– Orange: WWSD - Outside temperature shutdown active (Warm
Weather Shut Down)
WWSD – Outside temperature shutdown
The WWSD function is available only if an outdoor temperature sensor is
installed. The outdoor temperature sensor connects to the boiler. The
shutdown limit for the heating zones is set in the basic settings to 70 °F
(21 °C). The shutdown limit can be set by means of the CRC200 on
heating zone 1 ( Additional system components) which will apply for
all zones. Once the temperature set here is reached, the CZM100 shuts
down the heating zones. The temperatures requested by the CRC100/
CRC200 are no longer considered.
