3.3 Connecting the lavalier microphone
to the transmitter
Instead of the internal microphone (3), the lavalier microphone
(supplied with the transmitter) can be used alternatively: Connect
the lavalier microphone to the jack MIC IN (5) Thus, the internal
microphone is switched off
Attach the microphone to the holder pro-
vided (
figure on the right) and attach the
holder to your clothes (e g tie), as close to your
mouth as possible If required, place the foam
pop shield on the microphone The pop shield will suppress pop
noise and protect the microphone from the moisture in your breath
3.4 Wearing options
The metal clip (6) on the rear can be used to attach the transmit-
ter/receiver to your clothes (e g belt)
Alternatively, wear the transmitter/receiver on the lanyard
provided: Attach the thin loop of the lanyard to the clip, shift the
stopper to adjust the desired length of the lanyard and put the
lanyard around your neck When the snap buckle is unlocked
(press the sides of the buckle: see arrows in fig 3), the transmitter/
receiver can be easily removed or exchanged
4 Operation
1) To switch on the transmitter/receiver, turn the control (4) clock-
wise from the left stop ("Off") The power LED (2) lights up
When it starts flashing, the batteries are almost discharged
2) Use the channel selector (1) to select the transmission chan-
nel from the 16 channels "0" to "F" (overview of frequencies:
page 3) The transmitter and the receiver/s of a system
must be set to the same channel
3) Speak into the internal microphone (3) of the transmitter
or into the lavalier microphone connected to the transmit-
ter Use the control (4) of the transmitter to adjust the vol-
ume of the audio signal transmitted; use the control (4) of
the receiver to adjust the sound reproduction volume
Caution: Never adjust a very high sound reproduction volume
Permanent high volumes may damage your hearing!
4) If the reception is poor or disturbed, please check
– if the transmission quality is improved when a different
channel is used
– if the distance between the transmitter and the receiver is
too long
– if there are obstacles in the transmission path which may
shield the radio signal
Up to three systems TG-16 /1 transmitting on different chan-
nels may be operated in parallel without interference When
multiple systems are operated in parallel, make sure to keep a
sufficient distance between the individual systems
5) To switch off the transmitter/receiver, set the control (4) to the
left stop where it will engage
