PROBLEM
The auger motor is on
but the auger does not
turn.
After passing, the
snow blower leaves a
layer of snow on the
ground.
The snow blower
throws less snow.
The handles fail to be
heated.
The chute rotation or
the deflector up-and-
down function is not
controlled by the elec-
tronic chute direction/
pitch control handle.

CAUSE
◾
The shear pin is broken.
◾
The scraper bar is worn.
◾
The skid shoes are set too
low to place the scraper
bar too far from the
ground.
◾
The augers are worn.
◾
Auger speed may be too
low.
◾
The heating function will
turn off automatically
when the snow blower is
inactive for 10 minutes.
◾
The motor maybe stuck
inside the assembly.
◾
Other unidentified
problems.
SOLUTION
◾
Replace the shear pin
following the section
"REPLACING THE SHEAR
PIN" in this manual.
◾
Replace the scraper bar
following the section
"REPLACING THE
SCRAPER BAR" in this
manual.
◾
Adjust the height of the
skid shoes following the
section "TO ADJUST THE
HEIGHT OF SKID SHOES"
in this manual.
◾
Contact EGO service
center for repair.
◾
Increase the auger speed.
◾
Press the handle-heating
switch to restart the
heating.
◾
Slightly turn the chute/
deflector to the outside
of the limit position, and
then test if the chute/
deflector is no longer
stuck.
◾
Contact EGO customer
service for repair.
