4.5 Battery Test

The battery is charged with a nominal current by using the button
"Batt Test" (6). The actual battery voltage is indicated in the dis-
play. the battery voltage should exceed 7 V. The operating voltage
for a new battery is 8.5 V approx.
5.0 Maintenance / Battery Replacement
When using the instrument in compliance with the instruction
manual, no special maintenance is required.
If functional errors occur after expiration of warranty, our after
sales service will repair your instrument without delay.
Cleaning
If the instrument is dirty after daily usage, it is advised to clean it
by using a humid cloth and a mild household detergent.
Prior to cleaning, ensure that instrument is switched off and
disconnected from external voltage supply and may other
instruments connected (such as UUT, control instruments,
etc.).

Never use acid detergents or dissolvants for cleaning.
Replacement Batteries
The references desribed in section 4.3 regarding the handling of
accumulators must be met !
Prior to storage battery replacement, disconnect the instrument
from any connected test leads.
Please refer to the description on the bottom of the battery case
for correct layout of accumulators.
Only use batteries as described in the technical data section!
Never use disponsable batteries and the power supply unit
simultaneously, as this could cause the batteries to heat up
and explode !
– Close battery case.
– The instrument is now operational.
