Safety instructions

Carefully read through
the instructions before
putting into operation.
Observe the instructions and
keep them in an easily acces-
sible place for reference.
Safety instructions are iden-
tified by a dot F and must
always be observed.
F Avoid fire, naked flames and
sparks.
Explosive gases are produ-
ced during battery charging.
F Protect the charger against
moisture.
F Charge batteries only in well
ventilated rooms

F The charger is designed only
for charging standard and
maintenance-free
batteries with nominal capa-
cities of 6 Ah up to a maxi-
mum of 210 Ah and with a
rated voltage of 12 V or 24 V!
F Do not charge maintenance-
free batteries together with
standard batteries.
F Batteries which are not inten-
ded for charging must not be
charged.
F Please connect the unit only
to an earthed socket outlet in
order
to
protect
electric shock hazard.
F The mains connection cable
and the charging leads must
be in perfect condition.
F Never disconnect the char-
ging clips during charging.
F Never short-circuit the char-
ging clips.
F The rated battery voltage and
selected charging
lead-acid
must agree.
F Exhausted batteries must be
disconnected from the vehi-
cle electrical system during
charging.
Maintenance-free batteries, stan-
dard batteries and exhausted bat-
teries can be charged with the pow-
erful workshop charger LW 12/20 E
with electronic characteristic con-
trol.

f Overvoltage limitation
The output voltage of the char-
ger has a high immunity from
interference towards the vehicle
electrical system. No damaging
effects are produced on electro-
nic components in the vehicle
