6. Place the fi lter holder in its slot in the main unit and push it upwards until it audibly
and noticeably clicks into place. Make sure that the inscription "Vorderseite / Front"
is legible when you insert it (Fig. E4).
7. Set up the device and insert the tank into the main unit (see the "Filling the Tank"
chapter).

Troubleshooting

If the device does not function properly, check whether you can solve the problem your-
self using the following tips. If this is not possible, contact our customer service.
Do not try to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device cannot
be switched on.
The fuse in the fuse
box is triggered.
The device
fails to operate.
The display (2) fails
to respond.
The device emits
a beep every 5
minutes.
During use, an
unpleasant smell is
detected.

Possible cause
The mains plug is not insert-
ed in the socket correctly.
The socket is defective.
There is no mains voltage.
Too many devices connect-
ed to the same circuit.
The device is in standby
mode.
The tank (8) is empty.
The timer is deactivated.
The appliance has fallen
over and the safety switch
has been activated, auto-
matically putting the appli-
ance in the standby mode.
There is a software problem.
The refi ll reminder is active.
/ The tank (8) has to be
refi lled.
The device is being used for
the fi rst time.
Solution
Correct the fi t of the mains plug.
Try another socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Reduce the number of devices
in the circuit.
Switch on the fan manually.
Fill the tank.
Set the timer
Place the device on a stable,
fl at surface.
The software has to be reset.
Press button (4) for approx.
10 seconds. The set time and
the timer are also reset.
Fill the tank and reset the refi ll
reminder.
There are production residues
in / on the device. This is normal
and will not occur again later.
Make sure that the room is well
ventilated!
