The device is powered by electricity. However, to be able to keep the settings when the
device is disconnected from the power supply, a battery is also inserted.
Unless the device is connected to the power supply, the current time and timer
settings will be deleted during battery replacement. We therefore recommend
connecting the device to the mains before replacing the battery.
1. Remove the water tank (8) and empty it before replacing the battery
2. Using a suitable screwdriver, loosen the screw on the battery compartment (7) and
remove the battery compartment cover.
3. Remove the used battery and insert a new battery (3 V; CR2032). The positive pole
must be facing upwards.
4. Place the battery cover on the battery compartment and fi x it with the screw.
If the settings are not saved after the device is disconnected from the power supply, the
battery has to be replaced.

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Clean the tank and the fi lter sheet every time you refi ll or change the thermal brine.
■ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These may
damage the surfaces.
• Empty the tank and clean it before storing the device.
• Clean the tank (8) with detergent and warm water.
• Rinse the fi lter thoroughly under running water. Then allow it to air dry completely
before putting it back in the main unit.
• If necessary, dust the housing or wipe it with a damp cloth. Then dry with a cloth.
• When not in use the device should be protected from dust in a clean, dry place out of
the reach of children and animals.
Changing the Filter Sheet
The device must be kept operationally ready. Replace the fi lter sheet regularly (every 3
months) or when required.
New fi lter sheets can be purchased via the following website:
1. Remove the tank (8) from the main unit (see the "Filling the Tank" chapter).
2. Place the device in front of you.
3. The fi lter holder is located inside the main unit behind the fan (Fig. E1). Pull it out of
the main unit by its handle (Fig. E2).
4. Open the back of the fi lter holder and remove the fi lter sheet (Fig. E3).
5. Place a new fi lter sheet in the fi lter holder and close the holder again. You must feel
it engage.
