• Quarterly health check-up using ibo-COP2
When the battery is used for a long time, the total battery capacity will be reduced, because of natural cell
deterioration. If you never deplete the battery completely, the real battery capacity might not be reflected on the
display. Using the COP2, you can do a full battery health check up on your own.
To check the health of the battery you perform a calibration proces at home. It can be done at your discretion.
However, we advise to execute this process approxiamtely every 3 to 12 months to optimize the battery status
and performance. Once this process is completed the COP2 will display the results of the battery health status on
the front panel of the COP2.
• Ibo-COP2 Calibration Process
By pressing the "CAL Push Button" on the front panel for 5 seconds, the calibration (CAL) process will be
initiated. During the initiation process, it will enter discharge mode first. That means, it will deplete the entire
battery capacity completely first. This will be represented by the battery capacity LEDs.
You see all of the capacity LEDs (Green) and the CAL LED (White) begin flashing rapidly until it reaches zero
capacity. The discharge process will vary from a few minutes to 52 hours depending on the remaining capacity of
an ibo-R37/ibo-R45 battery pack.
CAL Process in Discharging Mode POWER
75 – 100% Discharging
50 – 75% Discharging
25 – 50% Discharging
0 – 25% Discharging
Once discharging mode is completed, it will enter the normal charge mode automatically.
Once the charging mode is completed, it will enter battery health reporting mode automatically. Based on the
result, you can refer to the table below and determine the health status of the battery pack.

For example, Grade A means that this battery pack still has at least 80% of its initial real capacity and that no
error was detected. If the battery health rating is a Grade C, that means the battery pack's total capacity is
between 60 to 70% of what a new battery pack's total capacity would be. You can consider buying a new battery
pack if they wish to be able to reacquire the range that a new battery pack has.
Depending on the battery health, you will see the final battery health diagnostic results illustrated on the front
panel via the battery capacity LEDs (Green) and the CAL LED (White). Please refer to the below table for reference.
