When starting the eBike, you yourself must there-
fore check to ensure that the ABS indicator light is
lit; otherwise the eBike will indicate a critical error
by flashing red on the control unit. Contact a ser-
vice center if this happens.
Cycling with an empty eBike battery
If a light is provided on the eBike, the bicycle manu-
facturer can set an energy reserve. If the state of
charge drops below a certain value, the drive assis-
tance will initially be disabled. However, the eBike
(including ABS) will remain enabled until the eBike
battery's energy reserve has been used up too.
The indicator light will come on again to indicate the
forthcoming deactivation of the ABS function.
From this point onwards, the ABS indicator light will
remain off despite ABS control being unavailable.
The brake system will continue working, simply with-
out the control provided by the ABS.
If the eBike is not fitted with a battery or the eBike
battery is drained, ABS is disabled. You will need to
charge the eBike battery before you can re-enable
your eBike and the ABS function.
WARNING – ABS will be disabled without a
u
power supply!
If the power fails, the battery is drained or the
eBike battery is not fitted, the ABS will be disabled
and the ABS indicator light will not come on.
