07. POWER SUPPLY

> Unscrew the battery compartment cover and insert two CR123
(A) batteries into the camera.
The correct polarity is indicated in the figure below. Both batteries
and rechargeable batteries can be used.
The operation of the camera is also possible over an external
power supply, such as powerbank or car power. Supply via insert-
ed batteries is automatically interrupted in the event of external
power supply.
> Attention: Please make sure to always insert pairs of batteries of
the same make and voltage.
Batteries cannot be charged via the USB interface!
The device is optimized for operation with rechargeable Li-Ion
batteries with a voltage of 3.7 V. When operating with disposable
lithium batteries with 3 V voltage, the battery level indicator may
show a low charge level after full batteries have been inserted.
However, the specified runtimes are still achieved.

08. POWER AND IMAGE ADJUSTMENT

Switching on
> Flip open the lens cap.
> Press and hold the Power button for three seconds to switch on
the unit.
> Turn the focus ring to focus in on the observed object.
The status bar is displayed at the bottom of the screen. The se-
lected colour mode (C1-6), the digital zoom factor (1x, 2x, 4x and
PIP), the WiFi status and the current battery capacity are displayed
here.
Image adjustment
The Merlin-35 (2020) does not calibrate automatically! If the picture
deteriorates during use, briefly press the
rebuilds itself and is rich in contrast.
> Briefly press the
image in cycles in 10 steps.
> Briefly press the
mal image in cycles from a palette of 6 colour modes.
