2.2.7 Vibration safety
Exposure to vibration can cause damage to the nerves
and blood supply of the hands and arms.
● Stop the operation and seek medical attention if you
get symptoms of vibration injury during the product
operation. Symptoms are for example: discomfort,
pain, throbbing, aching, tingling, numbness, burning
sensations or stiffness.
● Hold the product with a light but stable grip. The risk
of vibration injury increases with higher grip force.
● Use warm clothes during work in cold conditions and
keep your hands warm and dry.
2.2.8 Safety instructions for pneumatic power
tools
● Air under pressure can cause serious injury.
● Do not point the air stream at yourself, against other
people, or animals.
● Stop the air supply, drain the air pressure of the hose
and disconnect the product from the air supply when
not in use, before you change accessories or do
maintenance.
● Do a check for damage and loose hoses and fittings
before use. Under pressure, a damaged or loose air
hose can move around and cause personal injury or
damage to the work area.
● When universal twist (claw) couplings are used, lock
pins must be installed. Whip-check safety cables must
be used to prevent malfunction of hose-to-tool or
hose-to-hose connections.
● Do not exceed the maximum air pressure for the
product. Refer to "12 Technical data" on page 14.
● Do not lift or transport the product by the air hose.
2.2.9 Safety instructions for sanders
● Failure of the work piece, accessories or the product it
self can become high-velocity projectiles.
● Use protective gloves. The product can cause cuts,
abrasions and burns on your hands.
● Hold the product correctly and have both hands
available to be ready to counteract unusual or sudden
movements.
● Release the trigger lever in case of an interruption of
the energy supply.
● Use air-tool oil or other high-grade turbine oil that
contains moisture absorbent, rust inhibitors, metal
wetting agents and an extreme pressure (EP) additive.
