Water quality requirements on the circuit
Water quality must meet the standards of European Directive 98/83 EC and the
criteria set out in UNE 112.076. Water quality should be analysed before use; to

Before connecting the outdoor unit:
In any installation, both new and existing, a thorough cleaning of the pipes must be
carried out using a suitable chemical cleaning product, and then wash the pipes to clean
said chemical agent. To avoid damage to the pipes, you must add anionic, cationic
corrosion inhibitors, a mixture of both or film products that block the existing microlays,
avoiding corrosion reactions and oxygen detachment. When using inhibitors or other
cleaning chemicals, always read the manufacturer's instructions and their compatibility
with the materials that make up the installation.
Antifreeze
In case the installation is to operate in refrigeration mode, it is mandatory to use anti-
freezing. In installations that do not operate in refrigeration mode, antifreeze must be
used when there is a risk of freezing during a period of non-operation or due to
environmental conditions. Antifreeze solutions must use propylene glycol with a Class 1
toxicity index. Ethylene glycol must never be used in the primary circuit.
Problems arising from poor water quality or not having treated water as described
herein are not covered by the product warranty.
