Using the Play/Recording Timer
To play music after programming:
G) Begin play of desired music source. Programming for the play/
recording time remains in the memory even if the volume or
source is changed during play.
For play timer
After playing music, turn the unit off.
Cassette deck and direction displayed when the unit is turned
off are activated in the play timer.After playing music, check the
play timer deck and direction before turning the unit off.
When using the play timer with a CD, check the setting of the
random, repeat or programmed play mode before turning the
unit off.
For record timer
After playing music, turn the unit off. Direction displayed when
unit is turned off is activated in the recording timer. After playing
music, check the direction ("[=>"" or "<=}") of the cassette to be
recorded before turning the unit off.

To change the source or volume of the play timer function:
Press (TIMER ePLAY
REC]
to clear the "© PLAY" indicator and
follow steps Fi to B. (= page 23)
To change the radio station to be recorded:
Press [TIMER «PLAY eeREC] to clear the "© REC" indicator and

foltow steps El to KE. (= page 24)
To use the timer at the same time daily:
Check that "© PLAY" or "© REC" is displayed and turn the unit off.
Always turn the unit off before the programmed start time. The timer
does not activate if unit is on.
To check programming
Press [ADJUST, CLOCK/TIMER] when unit is off.
The display automatically changes in the following order.
Display example: Play CD from 7:30 A.M. to 8:30 A.M. on play tim-
er. A
© ON time
© OFF time
