12.1 Testing the cooktop burners
Each burner must be tested for proper lighting and proper
flame characteristics on the lowest and highest power
level.
Test all cooktop burners for proper ignition.

Push down the knob and turn it to the ignition symbol

Verify that the igniter/spark module clicks. When one

burner is turned to , all burners will spark. Sparking
will continue as long as the knob remains at .
Once the air has been purged from the supply lines,

verify that the burner lights within four (4) seconds.
When the burner lights, turn the knob back to the off
position.
If any of the burners do not ignite, do not continue

testing. Call Customer Service.

12.2 Flame characteristics
The color of the flame tells you if the gas supply is properly adjusted.
Note: Allow the appliance to operate for 4 to 5 minutes before evaluating the flame. Some yellow streaking is normal
during the initial startup.

Conversion to LP gas
Your appliance is equipped for use with natural gas on
Conversion to LP gas
delivery. It can be converted to LP gas supply.
The components required for conversion to LP gas are
contained in the LP conversion kit included with this
appliance, or are available from Customer Service.

Only a qualified technician or installer is authorized to
convert the appliance to another gas type.
Before carrying out the conversion, turn off the electricity
and gas supply.

Verify that the flame is steady. The flame should not
