5.2- Introduction
The hose reel is driven and released by a spring, which can rewind the hose automatically.
A locking device controls the hose length pulled out or rewound.
The reel can be swivelled through 180° to enlarge the range of use.
5.3- Hose use
The reel is supplied with a high quality kink-resistant hose.
After use, please turn off the air supply and remove excess air from the hose. Then rewind the hose.
In some areas of high temperatures, the sunlight will heat and damage the hose, which will cause the hose to be
difficult to rewind. It is best to turn off air before retracting the hose.
Do not leave the reel outside if the temperature is very low. Under this condition, the hose may be less flexible
and difficult to retract.
Do not bring any chemical or substance such as acetone, white spirits, lactic acid etc. into contact with the hose
reel.
Please note the hose of the reel cannot be used for oxygen, gas or other fluids (liquid or gaseous) or the
transport and transfer of liquids.
5.4- How to latch and rewind the hose correctly
This reel is fitted with ratchet device, making it very easy to extend and retract the hose. While pulling out the
hose, you can hear the clicking of the ratchet.
a) To pull out the hose
Grab hose with one hand (wear protective gloves) and pull hose gently out without jerking.
When you pull out the hose you will hear the clicking sound of the ratchet.
Pull hose to your needed length, as soon as you hear the clicking of the ratchet, then released the hose and the
reel will be latched by the ratchet mechanism.
The hose is fitted with a colored ring that represents the limit not to exceed when pulling out the hose.
b) To rewind the hose
Grab hose with one hand and pull it gently out for about 25~35cm (depending on model), when ratchet
clicking will not be heard; you can rewind the hose now.
To retract the hose, it is suggested that a minimum of 25% of the hose shall be extended.
During retraction, always hold the hose and follow the retraction until it is finished.
To avoid hose rewinding too fast, always hold hose firmly (wear protective gloves).
If the hose has twists in it, it is necessary to extend the hose to full length then retract it smoothly and evenly
back onto the reel.
