1. Prepare the Site
CAUTION: Risk of hazardous gases. If not blocked, hazardous gases may leak from the flange opening.
Temporarily place a rag in the flange opening until the toilet is ready to install.
Flush the old toilet.
Use a sponge to remove the remaining water from the tank and bowl.
Disconnect the supply shut-off valve (if present).
Remove the old tank and bowl.
Remove the old gasket from the closet flange with a putty knife.
Remove and discard the old T-bolts.
Temporarily place a rag in the floor opening until the toilet is ready to install.
Verify the flange distance X = 12" (305 mm) from the wall.
Install the water supply stop.
Flush the water supply line into a bucket or other container to remove debris.
