ENGINE START AND ENGINE STOP
The operator will always be behind the handle, grasping it with both hands while working.

• STARTING THE ENGINE

SET THE STOP/START SWITCH ON THE HANDLE
TO ON POSITION "I"
The engine has 2 stop/start switches:
On the handle (page 6, letter "D" and Fig. 11). This
switch must always be used to start and stop the
machine.
On the engine (page 6, letter "0". This must always be
on the "ON" position and under no circumstance
should it be touched.

PLACE FUEL VALVE ON THE "OPEN"
POSITION AND THE AIR CONTROL ON
THE "CLOSED" POSITION.

START THE ENGINE in the following manner
AFTER COMPLETING THE PREVIOUS STEPS
If engine is cold :
Using your right hand, grasp the handle of the starting
rope (Fig. 10) and pull lightly until compressing the
engine. Without releasing the handle, allow the rope to
recoil and pull hard again.
Once the engine has exploded several times, set the
air control on the "open" position (Fig. 9) and pull
the rope again.
NOTE: Do not release the handle until it has not slowly returned to its place from prevent
damages to the start assembly.
Once the engine is started, allow a few seconds until it warms up before starting operation.
If the engine is hot :
You will only have to make sure the engine start/stop switches on the handle (Fig. 7 and Fig.
11) and on the engine (Page. 6, letter "0") are on the "ON" position and then pull the starting
rope.
• ENGINE STOP
Set the engine stop switch, a red switch
on the handle, on the "OFF" position (Fig.
7 and Fig. 11).
