INTENDED PURPOSE
Munchkin
breastfeeding mothers by providing insights, assistance, and
confidence to help them meet their breastfeeding goals. The
shield supports the breastfeeding process by visually showing
the flow of breast milk between a mother and her baby.
The shield is intended to cover and protect the nipples of a
mother to support breastfeeding. It may also be used when
a mother has flat or inverted nipples, sore nipples, or suffers
from nipple pain.
NOTE: The Flow Nipple Shield is recommended for use only
after your body is done producing colostrum. Typically, this may
start from 2-5 days after birth.

1. Use the product only for its intended purpose.
2. Do not use the product if the packaging has been opened
or damaged.

3. Always follow cleaning, disinfecting, and storage
instructions for proper care and use. Exposure to lint, dust,
and sunlight may interfere with product performance.
4. Inspect the shield before each use. If you detect any damage
or weakness, discard it immediately. Examples include
unacceptable deterioration such as pitting, cracked seals,
reduced flow, block cavity, particulate on the channel,
separation of the channel from body and other abnormalities.
5. Flow Nipple Shield is intended for use by one mother. If
feeding more than one baby, clean between uses.
6. Keep the shield away from children when not in use.
7. Use only Munchkin Cleaning Syringe and Sterilization Case
for cleaning and storage.
8. If milk does not appear in the tube or you experience pain
while breastfeeding or other issues, consult with a lactation
consultant or physician.
